Nuts are one of the easiest, healthiest, yummiest snacks you can choose.
Someone recently complained to me about how much fat is in nuts.
This is NOT a problem. You should not avoid nuts because they are fatty.
Here’s why:
1. The fats in nuts are mostly unsaturated fats, which your body NEEDS for lots of things (absorbing vitamins, making important anti-inflammatory things, etc)
2. Fat is filling. It will leave you feeling full and less likely to snack on junk.
3. There is no sugar in these nuts.
4. You can choose unsalted nuts if you need to.
5. Nuts are freaking SHELF STABLE. Keep a jar in your purse or at your desk for when the moment strikes.
6. Ayoooo 2g of fiber per serving. Get that freebie!
Just like beans, it does not hurt to EAT MORE NUTS 🥜
If you or your kid have a nut allergy, I really am so sorry. It is painful when a healthy option is taken out of the equation. Just eat the types of nuts that you can, or choose seeds instead.
